    Filtering Notes

The filter button lets you easily view only those notes you have connected to specific books, characters, places, and/or tags. All other notes will be hidden until you reset the filter.

    To filter your notes:

    1. Click the “Filter” button
    2. Select the characters, places, and tags you wish to filter by
    3. To reset the filter, individually uncheck the elements or click the X by the filter alert that appears on the menu.

If you’d like to filter for cards with ANY of your characters, places, or tags, click the corresponding title (e.g. Characters) instead of selecting individual options.

Note: Filtering in Plottr currently uses OR logic, meaning it will display story cards with ANY of the criteria you have chosen, not ALL of them. (For example, if you select two tags, the notes section will display cards that have any one of them — regardless of whether they have both.)
